Remodeling, Chuck-E-Cheese, Camping, and the Wilhelm Singers!

Just what everyone should due at 35 weeks pregnant- remodel their bedroom! After much contemplation and prayer, Travis decided to go ahead with remodeling our bedroom starting the end of April. Why? With the hope that it will be warmer next winter. The bedroom was often about 58 F during the winter, when the rest of the house was 64 F. Poor insulation and old windows were surely not helping. Along with that, the previous "drywall" job was bad- ugly texturing that poked Travis in the head, cracks, and just bad looking. So with lots of help from college students demolition and remodeling came through in plenty of time for the baby. (I didn't get a picture of the final results. I'll have to do that sometime!)

(The kids LOVE to help paint!)

Since our bedroom remodel was done, the carpet needed cleaning. So we needed something to do outside of the house. We gave the kids some options and they, of course, picked Chuck-E-Cheese. It's amazing how much fun that place can be for kids!!! And their dads too!

The kids camped out in the backyard with Dad. Super fun! Mom, being 9 months pregnant, opted for the comfort of her own bed. Such a great no-cost activity! And being in the backyard means no packing, private bathroooms, and hanging out inside when the bugs are bad....!

The kids sang a song for Memorial Day. They learned several patriotic songs as part of their school cirriculum this last year. "God Bless America" was one of those songs. There are 3 videos all different.
